Sharjah/Dubai, UAE — World Star Holding successfully hosted the World Star Golden Cup 2025, a two-day inter-branch sports festival that brought together employees from its Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi operations, fostering unity, teamwork, and a strong spirit of collaboration.
The opening day took place at the historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium, a venue that has witnessed legendary performances by global icons such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Sanath Jayasuriya. Employees had the unique opportunity to compete on this world-renowned ground, making the cricket tournament both a memorable and inspiring experience.
The second day of the event was held at NIBRAS School in Dubai, where a variety of sporting activities were organised, including football, badminton, basketball, running races, shot put, javelin throw, and other track-and-field events. The diverse lineup ensured participation from employees across departments and skill levels.
A key highlight of the tournament was the presentation of the World Star Golden Cup — a specially crafted 18-carat gold trophy symbolising excellence, perseverance, and collective success.
After two days of spirited competition, Marmoom Manpower, the sister company of World Star Holding, emerged as the overall champion, receiving the prestigious Golden Cup amidst celebrations from colleagues across the Group.
Nishad Hussain, Chairman of World Star Holding, stated that the initiative reflected the organisation’s people-first philosophy, emphasising the role of sports in nurturing leadership, discipline, and trust. Managing Director Haseena Nishad added that the event was designed to motivate employees and strengthen unity beyond the workplace.
The tournament concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, leaving employees with lasting memories and a renewed sense of belonging to the World Star family.
