6,000 + Students from 90 Institutions Elevate North India’s Youth Culture Fest

CULT 2025 at WUD blends sports, design and performance into a creative celebration

New Delhi: Fest season in Delhi NCR burst into life this November with CULT 2025, a three-day celebration that drew over 6,000 students from 90 universities and colleges across North India. From morning matches to midnight music, the campus of the World University of Design (WUD), Sonipat, turned into a vibrant stage for talent, teamwork, and youthful energy.

Every corner of the university pulsed with activity volleyballs soaring, guitars strumming, paint brushes flying, and dance floors lighting up. The event brought together students from diverse academic streams and creative pursuits, united by the spirit of competition, expression, and connection.

CULT is a fest that blends sport and arts & design. “CULT is where talent meets community,” said Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor of WUD. “It reminds us that education goes beyond classrooms it lives in collaboration, creativity, and collective joy.”

With participation from leading institutions such as IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, UPES Dehradun, NIT Kurukshetra, Central University of Punjab, and Bennett University, CULT 2025 has emerged as one of the most anticipated inter-university festivals in the region. What began as a campus initiative has now evolved into a pan-North India celebration of ideas, culture, and imagination.

Day one kicked off with adrenaline and applause as participants competed in volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, chess, and table tennis. The cheers echoed a shared belief that college life is as much about resilience and teamwork as it is about academics.

Over the next two days, the rhythm shifted from sport to spectacle. Dancers moved from Vividha’s classical grace to Beat Breakers’ western energy. Poets sparred in Rapid Rhyme, singers found their stage in One Mic One Voice, designers reimagined fabric and form through Celeste and Lumiere, and dramatists electrified audiences in Act II. From Snapchase’s storytelling photographers to Kryptic Pulse’s music bands, every event brimmed with originality. The addition of hybrid and online competitions this year brought new audiences into the fold, connecting hundreds of students beyond the physical campus.

The closing day saw the creative crescendo peak with dance battles, art showcases, and a crowd-favourite set by DJ Prerak, turning the campus into a pulsating dance floor. For many, CULT wasn’t just an event — it was an experience of friendship, freedom, and creative discovery.
