- After 1,050+ young shooters competed in the North India and Maharashtra trials, the League expands its footprint with Bengaluru trials from November 15–17
Bengaluru, November 16, 2025: Building on the remarkable response received across its first two regional trials, the School Shooting Premier League (SSPL) is now set to make its debut in Karnataka with the Bengaluru Trials, scheduled to take place from 15th to 17th November 2025 at the Agasthya Sports Academy, Kodati Huskur Road, Kodhati, Bengaluru.
Following the participation of 880 young shooters in the North India Zone and 170+ in the Maharashtra leg, SSPL has now crossed 1,050+ young shooters overall—a milestone that reflects the fast-growing popularity of shooting among India’s youth. With Bengaluru’s strong sporting culture and thriving student community, the League is expecting 200+ talented shooters to participate in this round.
The Bengaluru leg marks SSPL’s next step in its mission to identify, nurture, and empower emerging shooters across India. The trials will give student athletes a national-level platform to showcase their skill while gaining exposure to competitive structures that can shape long-term sporting careers.
The previous trials brought together students from Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra, making SSPL one of the largest and most structured school-level shooting initiatives in the country. The growing enthusiasm highlights the increasing recognition of shooting as a sport that builds discipline, mental focus, precision, and resilience among young athletes.
Speaking about the upcoming trials, Deepak Srivastav, Co-founder, SSPL, said, “The response in North India and Maharashtra has been extraordinary and has validated our belief in the immense potential of young shooters in the country. SSPL is more than a competition—it’s a movement to build a robust grassroots shooting ecosystem. We are excited to bring this momentum to Bengaluru, which has always been a hub for sports talent.”
Ayush Yadav, Founder of SSPL, added, “Our vision is to make shooting accessible, aspirational, and aligned with national-level sporting pathways. Bengaluru has a vibrant youth community and a strong sports culture, making it the ideal destination for our next expansion. We look forward to discovering promising athletes who will represent the next generation of Indian shooting champions.”
The Bengaluru trials will feature multiple shooting disciplines, covering categories for boys and girls under U-15 and U-19 age groups. Participants will also benefit from interactive sessions on shooting techniques, sports safety, mental conditioning, and insights into franchise selections, sponsorship opportunities, and mentorship programs.
Selected athletes from the Bengaluru trials will qualify for the Final League Round leading up to the SSPL Main Event in early 2026. These trials are part of SSPL’s nationwide expansion, with upcoming events planned across other major cities as part of its vision to build India’s largest youth shooting ecosystem.
